Friday, November 15 from 6:30 to 9:00pm

Join us for this free event for our Hope Youth middle schoolers, no advance registration required!  We'll play Nerf Capture-the-Flag, Impossible Shot, and other Nerf games.  Please bring a Nerf gun if you have one -- we have some to share and will supply the ammo.  Invite a friend to join the fun!  

While this event is free and no pre-registration is required, all participants should have a current emergency packet on file, linked here.

Sunday, Oct. 27 from 6:30 to 8:30pm  For our October 912 event, we'll have a Halloween party during our regular 912 Gathering Time -- come in costume ready to compete for prizes!

Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10 -- register here by Sunday, Oct. 27

We will return to Camp Pioneer for our annual fall retreat.  It's a weekend of great food, teaching, discussion, growth, fun -- and awesome small group leaders (including all of last year's dream team!)  For pictures of last year's retreat, click here.  Make sure to register here no later than Sunday, October 27.  Once you're registered, please submit a Hope Youth Participation Packet for this school year.

  • FLOWER CITY WORK CAMP 2020  (for grades 7 to 12) will be Sunday, April 5 to Thursday, April 9 (during Spring Break.)  REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOVEMBER 1 TO EARLY JANUARY.  Now is the time to get involved at Hope Youth if you want to be eligible to apply since all Youth must be recommended as active Hope Youth participants by Pastor Greg.  We had 80 Hope Youth and 110 Hope Adult Volunteers serve at FCWC19 last year -- click  here to see our West Camp photo album.
  • We give a Hope Youth logo tee to all youth, but if you would like more Hope Youth merch, we have Hope Youth logo gear upstairs at the Youth Ministry office:
    • We have hoodies available for $25 in every size but Medium.
    • Tie-dyed Hope Youth tees made by our 912 Youth are also available for $10.  
    • Hope Youth water bottles are just $5.  Please note they are not dishwasher-safe.

  • 678 Youth Gathering Time: 9:30 to 10:50am every Sunday upstairs in our Higher Ground space, led primarily by Pastor Greg. Join your middle school friends for fun in the game room, teaching, and small groups.
  • 912 Youth Gathering Time: 6:30 to 8:30pm every Sunday upstairs in our Higher Ground space, led by Pastor Greg. All high schoolers are welcome as we come together to hang out, eat, worship, and learn as a large group and then discuss and pray in small groups.


  • Hope Youth Wednesdays: 6:30 to 8:30pm Wednesdays during the school year for grades 6 to 12.  We start at 6:30 with Bible study:  678 Youth meet in the Higher Ground Cafe with Pastor Greg while 912 Youth meet in the Higher Ground Game Room with Diana Strand.  At 7:30, we transition to the gym (FLC) for games or service projects.

Pastor Greg Strand is our Pastor to Youth at Hope Church.   He joined the staff of Hope Church in July of 2015, moving to Rochester with his family from Oregon.  Read his full bio here.

Diana Strand is the Youth Ministry Assistant -- and Pastor Greg's wife.  Pastor Greg (known as PG to many) and Diana have two teenagers at Hope.

Pastor Greg and Diana are in office (upstairs in the Higher Ground youth space) Tuesdays through Fridays.  Please fill out the contact form for an appointment or more information.
