Words of Hope from Elder Scott Mitchell

“Then He placed His right hand on me and said: Do not be afraid.” Rev 1:17

It’s almost an involuntary reaction when fear or sadness come upon us. We look for a shoulder to lean on or someone to hold us. There is an immeasurable peace and comfort that the physical embrace of a friend can bring, but at 6 feet apart that can be challenging.

During these times when we are separated from each other physically, you can be sure that God not only draws near but holds you close too (Is 41:10. ) Like the popular ‘Footprints in the Sand’ story, it is during our toughest times that Jesus carries us. Feel the Savior’s touch and rest in His love. Remember that when Jesus calmed the storm He did so from within the boat right by His disciples’ side. He is an ever present help in times of trouble.
