Marriage Preparation
MERGE – Prepare for Marriage Classes
Merge is an eight-week session premarriage group designed to help couples prepare for a lifetime of love and commitment. Through expert guidance, practical tools, and interactive sessions, Merge aims to equip couples with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the ups and downs of married life.
Completing Merge is a requirement for any couple desiring to be married by a pastor at Hope Church.

Re/Engage
Marriage Enrichment
What is RE/Engage?
Each week starts with teaching in large group setting by Pastor Arnold or Mary. Large group is only 40 minutes, after which couples go to their small group for homework review and discussion with each session ending at 8:30p. Community is built in the small group settings by creating a safe space for rich conversations and a deeper dive into topics. We are excited to bring the Prepare-Enrich Assessment tool into the next session of RE-Engage. Prepare/Enrich is the most researched couple relationship assessment in the world, with features in over 1,800 academic journal articles.
- For couples seeking enrichment, Prepare/Enrich can bolster relationship skills and strengthen their bond. For couples in crisis or seeking restoration, this assessment allows you to understand the complex dynamics the couple is experiencing.
- A couple’s marriage is at the core of the family system. It is critical to help couples navigate the various stages of parenting. As couples expand their families they experience new challenges and will need support.
- Marriage can feel complex and overwhelming when couples begin to actively work on their relationship. Help couples navigate critical conversations on topics such as sexual intimacy, forgiveness, finances, raising children and relationship roles.
- Length: 12 weeks
- Next Sessions: Wednesdays, February 4 through April 29 – no class on April 1.
