We walk by faith, not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7
I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. - Philippians 4:13 NIV
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. - Hebrews 11:1-2 NIV
Through faith in Christ, we can do anything that God asks us to do because He is the One who empowers us to do it. The question is will we trust Him or not? There are a lot of great prayers in the Bible, but one of the best is when a man came to Jesus and asked Him to rescue his son. He said, “If you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” Jesus said, “If you can? Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:22-24 NIV). What an honest prayer. Jesus never rebukes an authentic prayer. He is not looking for you to come to Him with perfect faith. He wants you to just come to Him in faith. Ask Him to strengthen your faith and then act on your faith.

Reflection Question:
What is Jesus asking you to do that requires greater faith in Him?
Prayer:
Lord God, I believe. Help my unbelief. Through the reading and studying of Your Word, grow and deepen my faith that I believe more and more. I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.
Scripture:
“Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you.” - Matthew 9:29b
