Parks In Our Community
There are many wonderful places in our community! Being immersed in the nature around us is nothing short of breathtaking. Enjoying the beauty around us should be part of our everyday life. We’re here to show you all about some of the parks in our community.
Cobb’s Hill Park
Located in the city of Rochester, with over 100 acres of scenic trails. It’s the perfect place for a weekend family walk/run (trust us, it’ll be worth it when you take in the city skyline at the top of the reservoir). At the bottom of the hill, some lilacs and original tree plantings make this park a horticultural gem, and on a hot summer night, the park is brought to life with local softball leagues.
This park is full of life! A 297-acre park of forested river gorge that includes wonderful features like ‘Trout Lake’ and views of the Seneca Park Zoo. If you’re lucky, you might just catch a glimpse of the African Elephants. Gather up some friends and/or family for a summer picnic and let the kiddos have a blast on the playground. Needless to say, when you visit Seneca Park you’re guaranteed to have a great time.
Greece Canal Park
Yes, there is beauty in all of the parks in our community, but it’s nice to know that there is one right around the corner from Hope Church. This 577-acre park is the perfect spot for hiking, watching wildlife and, in the colder months, cross-country skiing. With lots of soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds and even youth camping areas, this park is not short of things to do.
These three local parks are our top choices, but there are plenty more to choose from. All in all, we are thankful for what the Lord has given us and cherish all aspect of the world. We strive to Gather in worship, Grow on love for God & all people, Give in service and Go share the hope of Jesus with the world.
