We walk by faith, not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7
For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. - 2 Chronicles 16:9 NIV
And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. - Hebrews 11:6 NIV
The Bible says some important things about those who walk by faith:
1. The Lord looks for faithfulness:
God is actively looking for people who walk by faith so that He can use them. If we make ourselves available, God will use us for His glory. (2 Chronicles 16:9)

2. The Lord rewards faithfulness:
The Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness. The Lord delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed. - 1 Samuel 26:23
His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness! - Matthew 25:23
Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. – Revelation 2:10. God promises blessings in this life and the next when we walk by faith.
3. Faithful people are hard to find:
Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find? - Proverbs 20:6a
Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race. – Psalm 12:1. A lot of people say they have faith in God, but when things get tough in their finances, health or their job, instead of seeking God, they doubt or blame God for their troubles.
4. Those who walk by faith have the ultimate victory:
For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? – 1 John 5:4-5. Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. Stay faithful to the Lord because He has given you the victory!
Reflection Question:
What promises from God do I need to hold on to today so as to stay faithful?
Prayer:
Lord God, keep me in the faith and help me to always keep my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of my faith. To God be the glory.
