We walk by faith, not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word about Christ.†-†Romans 10:17 NIV
These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.†-†Hebrews 11:39-40 NIV
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.†-†Isaiah 40:31 NIV
Trusting Godís promises is not always easy. The world is broken, our bodies get broken, our hearts get broken and it is so easy to be discouraged and even want to give up on our hopes and dreams. How do you keep from throwing in the towel? Go back to Godís demonstrated faithfulness in the past, both from the Bible and from your past, and be reminded of His faithfulness. He hasnít changed. Remember that just like all who trusted God were rewarded, so your faith will be one day as well.
What were some of the ways God was faithful to you in the past? Praise Him!
Lord, when I face difficult situations in the†present or worry about the future, help me to remember the faithfulness and love you have always provided, and that you will never change.
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ďYesĒ in Christ. And so through him, the ďAmenĒ is spoken by us to the glory of God.†-†2 Corinthians 1:20
